Kondwani Precious Mwangala, PhD, currently, works for World Vision International as Deputy Chief of Party for the USDA-funded Food for Education Program, where he has been entrusted with providing Program Leadership, Project Management oversight, financial management, and leading a team of 18 members. In this capacity, he also dedicates a significant amount of time in establishing and nurturing relationships with partners, and donors for the successful implementation of the project. Being a highly skilled Business Development (BD) Professional, Kondwani has served as the Business Development Lead for World Vision Rwanda from 2016 to 2020, and Grants Acquisition and Management (GAM) Director for World Vision Malawi from 2012 to 2016 respectively. Among the achievements of his BD career, he has successfully managed to raise $200m across 7 years from various donors. To-date, Kondwani has been with World Vision for 12 years and has worked in Southern and East African Regions respectively. Kondwani has project and people management experience having managed a World Bank Funded Complementary Basic Education Program for over 6 years and overseeing 127 staff, making a significant contribution to the program’s positive impact across Malawi, where it was implemented. He holds a Ph.D. in Change Management, a MSc in Leadership and Change Management and a post-graduate certificate in Development Studies. Reflecting his commitment to continuous learning and personal development, Kondwani is currently in the final stages of completing an MBA. Kondwani is a Change Management expert and has led Organizational Development and Process Improvement initiatives. He is also a Financial inclusion enthusiast, having championed the digitization of savings groups through the Resilience and Livelihoods programs in WV Rwanda. He thrives in intense and dynamic environments, and likes collaborating with multicultural teams. Kondwani has been married to Ida for 18 years and together they have two children.
